3 Click ListRoutes tab from the Call Manager Home screen. The Ring List
Details screen displays.
4 Enter a name for the emergency route in the Ring list name text box (for
example, Emergency notification).
5 From the drop down list, select the maximum number of times to ring the
phone.
6 In the first text box in the column, enter a unique emergency number. This
number must correspond to the number provisioned in the gateway telephony
route that routes to the proper gateway serving the PSAP for the OSN location
(for example, 6911).
7 Select SIP address from the drop down list.
8 In the second text box in the first column, enter the SIP address of the OSN
subscriber. This is name of the target user who receives the IM notification,
for example:
sip:guarddeskA@abc.com.
9 Select Web address from the drop down list.
10 Click Add Route.The Add Route button updates the online user database
with your the emergency subscriber and routing information.
Setting up a rule for the emergency notification route
Once a route is set up, a screening rule must be created that uses the defined
emergency notification ring list to define the activation of 911 calls.
To set up a screening rule for the first time
1 Click ListRules from the Call Manager screening and routing screen. The
Welcome to Call Manager screen displays.
Tip: The 911 notification is not activated until a rule has been applied.
