ANY access point under the infrastructure network mode.
• Ad-Hoc Type: Please select between 802.11g or 802.11b if You are using
a AD-Hoc network.
Security Configuration: Wireless network communications can be intercepted
easily. This option will help you protect your wireless network.
• Authentication: Open communicates the key across the
network. Shared allows communication only with other devices
with identical WEP settings. WPA-PSK You have to insert a KEY.
• Encryption Type: This option allows you to configure the setting
of data encryption. The WEP/WPA key must be set before the
data encryption is enforced.
• WEP KEY/WPA-PSK KEY: To enable WEP Encryption, you
should decide the encryption format first by selecting the ASCII or
HEX option, and then input the WEP key (in the following Key
1~4 box). To enable WPA Encryption, you have to inser directly
the key (minimum 8 characters). Pre-Shared Key: This is used to
identify each other in the network. Enter the name in the Pre-
Shared Key box, and this name must match the Pre-Shared Key
value in the remote device. You can check in the picture an
example of configuration in WPA-PSK.
